CA3260 is a 4MHz dual channel BiMOS operational amplifier IC. CA3260 is a dual channel version of its parent CA3160 op-amp. The IC utilizes Gate protected P-Channel MOSFET (PMOS) transistors at the input of the circuit, in order to provide very high input impedance, very low input current, and exceptional speed performance. The IC has a wide range of operating voltages (4V to 16V, or ±2V to ±8V), a wide range of working conditions, and directly interfaces with other CMOS, BiMOS, and PMOS devices.
Operational Amplifier
An operational amplifier is a voltage amplifying device; that is designed with the intention to be used with external feedback components such as resistors and capacitors between its I/O terminals. These feedback components determine the resulting function or “operation” of the amplifier and by virtue of the different feedback configurations whether resistive, capacitive, or both.
