The 74LS190 is a part of the 74XXYY IC series. The SN54/74LS190 is a synchronous UP/DOWN BCD Decade (8421) Counter, having an inherent complexity of 58 congruent gates. The operating modes of the 74LS190 decade counter and the 74LS191 binary counter are almost the same, with the
only difference being the count sequences. The 74LS190 IC offers a wide array of working voltages, a wide range of working conditions, and directly interfaces with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL. The IC 74LS190 is much compact in terms of chip size and provides much faster propagation speed which makes it reliable in every kind of device.
