CD4002B NOR gate IC provides the system designer with direct implementation of the NOR function and supplements the existing family of CMOS gates. All inputs and outputs are buffered. The CD4002B comes in 14-lead hermetic dual-in-line ceramic packages. It has an equal source and sink current capabilities and conforms to the standard B series output drive. The devices also have buffered outputs which improve transfer characteristics by providing very high gain.
What is a NOR Logic Gate?
An OR gate followed by a NOT gate in a cascade is called a NOR gate. The inclusive NOR (Not – OR) gate has an output that is normally at logic level “1” and only goes “LOW” to a logic level “0” when any of its inputs are at logic level “1”. The Logic NOR Gate is the reverse or complementary form of the inclusive OR gate.
