CA3240 is a dual Bi-MOS operational amplifier, that combines the advantages of MOS and bipolar transistors on the same monolithic chip. CA3140 offers a wide of operational features such as thermal overload protection, and high noise immunity, etc. The IC can be used in general-purpose op-amp operation circuits like comparator, differential amplification, or mathematical operations. The IC has a wide range of working conditions, and directly interfaces with PMOs, NMOS, and TTL devices.
Operational Amplifier
An operational amplifier is a voltage amplifying device; that is designed with the intention to be used with external feedback components such as resistors and capacitors between its I/O terminals. How To Use CA3240
The above circuit can function as a test circuit amplifier of 30dB gain for the CA3240. This circuit is commonly used for wideband noise measurment. Here, a positive feedbacj loop exits between the amplifier output and the non-inverting input of the IC; allowing necessary adjustmentss in order maintain an amplified output.
