An Overview

The SHT11 belongs to the SHT1x series. These sensors are fully calibrated and provide a digital output. The SHT1x humidity sensor series includes SHT10, SHT11, and SHT15, all are relative humidity sensors. These humidity sensors integrate sensor elements with signal processing, give a fully calibrated digital output. It uses a unique capacitive sensor element for measuring relative humidity, while a band-gap sensor measures temperature.

The sensor ensures excellent reliability and long-term stability. They couple these humidity sensors to a 14-bit-analog-to-digital converter and a serial interface circuit. This provides greater signal quality and fast response time.
