Introduction

Light plays a huge role in everyone’s life and so does its intensity. Have you ever felt that internally you feel a little different in less lightning? Lightning has a great impact on mood. For example, poor lighting contributes a lot to getting depression, etc. Hence, lightning intensity plays a major role in changing moods and improving energy. Thus, some circuits can change the lighting intensity of your room lights. So, today in this article we’ll talk about that. However, we make a small circuit that can only change the intensity of the LED light. Therefore, in this tutorial, we are moving to make an “LED Dimmer Circuit with IRFZ44N MOSFET”. IRFZ44N is N-type MOSFET IC. The circuit requires very few components and is highly affordable.

Working Explanation

In this LED Dimmer Circuit with IRFZ44N MOSFET, the MOSFET is only connected with two components, the potentiometer, and the 12V LED strip. As we know MOSFET has three pins, Source, drain, and gate. The potentiometer is connected to the gate and its rotation changes the gate voltage. As a result, the intensity of the LED strip depends on the rotation of the potentiometer. In this way, the dimmer circuit works.

Application and Uses

  • This circuit is particularly used to change the light intensity of an LED or LED strip but with some modification, it can be used to control other lights.
