Introduction

Sounds are part of the life of every normal being. It gives a person different feelings. For instance, if you’re somewhere and hear a fire siren, it puts you in a situation to leave that place. If you hear an ambulance, you pray for the health of a person, if you hear the police siren, you get the knowledge that something inhuman happens in your area.

In this tutorial, we are going to “Sound Generator Circuit Using IC HK620″Thus, designers make these sound generator circuits. But, what if you get different unique sounds in a single circuit? Interesting, right? So let us see the circuit.

Working Explanation

In this Sound Generator Circuit, we are using the IC HK620 which has an operating voltage range from 1.8V to 4.8V but the normal operating voltage is 3V. Therefore, we are using two AA-size batteries of 1.5V which together makes 3V. The circuit includes 8ohms of the speaker having a power of 0.25watts And, for the amplification, there is a transistor wired in the circuit. We have wired six DIP switches with key pins and a Vdd supply pin. Thus, when the key goes high, a corresponding pin will generate a specific tone. For example, key 1 produces a police car tone, key two generate the sound of a fire engine, etc, etc.

Application and Uses

  • We can use this in circuits to generate a police siren.
  • It can also be used in an ambulance sound generator as well.
  • Also, to generate fire bridges and other sirens.
  • This circuit has great use in children’s toys.
