Introduction

There is a huge significance of amplifier circuits in electronics. As the name suggests, these circuits amplify the input signal. The favorable aspect of the amplifier is that it increases the amplitude of the signal wave, without changing the other parameters. And, hence, one can perform a variety of functions through amplifier circuits. Therefore, devices like radio and television, systems like electronic control and radar, and instruments like guitar and keyboards use these amplifiers. So, In this article, we will see how to make the TDA2822 Power Amplifier Circuit.

TDA2822 is the dual power audio amplifier, used to boost the audio signals. Further, the integrated circuit has low cross-over distortion. To make this circuit, you can use the power supply from 3 to 5 volts. Also, before assembling this circuit, remember to use the regulated power supply having no noise or distortion.

Working Explanation

To build the TDA2822 Power Amplifier Circuit, the left channel input is applied at pin one of an IC. And, the right channel is applied on pin 16 of an IC. Both are none inverting input pins. So, using the capacitors C5 and C6, inverting output is wired to the ground. Pin 6 and pin 11 are the output pin, that gives the amplified outputs. Capacitors C1 and C2 are the coupling capacities for output to drive the load. The purpose of Capacitor C7 is to filter the power supply.

Application and Uses

It is used in portable and compact audio systems like

  • mini radios
  • Headphones
  • Preamplifiers
