In luxury cars, automatic features are widely available. One of them is an Automatic wiper system to drain off the water from the windshield. That’s why you have seen Automatic Wiper System in most of the extravagance vehicles where Windshield Wiper consequently gets actuated when there is Rain or if there is some water on the windshield.

Therefore, an automatic Wiper is a basic electronic gadget that is attached to each standard luxury vehicle to wipe the water on the windshield during the rain. Generally, in most cars, they are manually operating and we have to turn them ON to start their operation.

Henceforth, today we are going to assemble an Automatic Rain Sensing Car Wiper System utilizing 555 Timer IC. This circuit consequently senses the water precipitation and automatically actuates the wiper to clear the windscreen.

Working Explanation

The working operation of this Automatic Rain Sensing Car Wiper DIY project is pretty basic. However, this circuit has four sections Astable Multivibrator, Comparator, Motor Driver, and Rain Detector. At the point when rainwater falls over the Rain Sensor then it will trigger the PNP semiconductor BC557. Subsequently, the PNP semiconductor turns ON the power flexibly of the entire circuit and the circuit begins working until there is water on the Rain Sensor.

Moreover, when the yield of 555 Timer IC goes HIGH then the comparator LM358 gives a LOW yield and when the yield of 555 IC goes LOW then the Comparator’s yield goes HIGH. In addition, by using these two yields DC motors start rotating in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions. Thus, the wiper attached to it goes right to left and left to right, through Motor Driver IC L293D. That is the manner by which the wipers automatically sense water droplets and get actuated. They stay enacted until there is water on the Rain sensor, when the water dissipates wipers get halted. Two LEDs are additionally utilized here for signaling purposes.
