Introduction

We all know how important audio is in our lives. And, thus, we all experienced audio amplifiers, whether it’s a headset you used to listen to something, microphones to give speeches, or toys for children. Audio amplifiers are everywhere. However, they are of different types and used for different purposes. And, now audio amplifier ICs are also available. CD6283 is one of those IC used as dual-power audio amplifiers. So, we have decided to make the “CD6283 Stereo Audio Amplifier Circuit” in this tutorial.

The CD6283 integrated circuit features a built-in thermal shut-down protection circuit and is packaged in a SIP (Single Inline Package). It produces 2.5 W of audio when powered by 9 Volt VCC and 4.6 W when powered by 12 Volt VCC.
The size of the 6283 IC-based low-cost amplifier board is tiny, it works with a heat sink, it’s easy to install, and we can use it in any audio amplifier.

Working Explanation

This CD6283 Audio Amplifier Circuit is a stereo power amplifier with a 12V Vcc bias, two 1F capacitors C11 and C12 as audio coupling capacitors at the input, and two 8 speakers at the output. Pin 5 serves as an audio input pin and pin 2 serves as an audio output pin for Channel 1, while pin 7 serves as an audio input pin, and pin 10 serves as an audio output pin for Channel 2. The voltage gain of this circuit, which generates a 45dB voltage gain, may be modified by adjusting the R1 and R2 resistors.
