Introduction

If you use a microphone often, you already have known that there are two conventional microphone devices. An audio interface, and an audio mixer. Generally, audio interfaces connect the microphones to the computing device. Hence it is used for a single audio recording. On the other hand, a mixer circuit is used where there are instruments or multiple microphones. For example, it is utilized in live concerts, etc. In this article, we will make the circuit of a three Input mic mixer circuit. Microphone mixer circuits use operational amplifiers. As we all are aware that amplifiers, enhance the input magnitude of the signal. Also, it filtered out the noise and distortions of the coming signals.

This circuit uses 4 operational amplifiers that must be mounted on the holder. A Dua power supply is required in the making of this circuit. Remember, to build a circuit in a good quality board

Working Explanation

The Three Input Mic Mixer Circuit uses four amplifiers ICs. The IC1, IC1, and IC3 act as the preamplifiers, that boost the input signal. Also, it reduces noise and distortion. On the other hand, IC4 acts as the summing amplifier that adds the output of the signal coming from individual amplifiers. Hence, the amplitude got bigger. The total gain of the circuit at the output is around 45 decibels.

Application and Uses

The circuit can be used at events that have many instruments like concerts, etc. It has wide applications in electronic circuits that include:

  • Modulator circuits.
  • Frequency multiplier circuits.
  • Phase detector, etc.
